You catch 1142 more often than chance allows: a timestamp and a page number. The 1 is initiation and the 4 is foundation, which means both are live at once. Eight is power, so look at where you have been waiting for permission you already have.
What 1142 means
The 8 governs authority, ambition and the honest use of strength, especially around work and money. When a number reduces to 8, you likely have more leverage in a situation than you're currently using.
Inside 1142, the 1 carries the spark of a beginning before it has a structure. The 4 adds the unglamorous work that decides whether something lasts. The 2 brings patience with timing that can't be forced.
The working, shown
1 + 1 + 4 + 2 = 8.
Every number in this system is read the same honest way: add the digits, reduce, and check whether a master number (11, 22 or 33) is trying to hold its full shape along the way.
Why you keep seeing it
Numbers repeat when a theme refuses to stay quiet. The theme is harvest: effort that has been spent and what it actually bought wants an honest audit. The final digit is the 2, where the message lands: timing you cannot hurry.
What to do when you see it
Your assignment when 1142 shows up
Put your effort where your stated values are, with one visible transfer of time or money. And answer the question the 2 keeps asking. Where are you forcing something that needs time? Do the smallest honest version of it before Sunday.

Is 1142 a good sign?
It is a marker, and it carries no blessing and no threat. The number names a live theme and hands it to you. Whether it turns out well has everything to do with your answer and nothing to do with the digits.
Does seeing 1142 mean my wish will come true?
No, and reading it that way tends to make people passive. The honest use of a repeating number is noticing what you were thinking about when it appeared, then making an actual decision yourself.
Is 1142 connected to my Life Path number?
A sighting is a moment and your chart is a standing structure. The number following you says something about your season, and your Life Path and the rest of your numbers, hand calculated from your birth name and birth date, describe what you are working with underneath every season.
