You did not go looking for 828. It found you anyway: a ticket, a timestamp, a plate in slow traffic. It mirrors itself, and mirrored numbers speak of reflection: asking to be met from both directions. You are further along than you think, and 828 arrives like a milestone you would have walked past. Not this time.
What 828 means
A mirror number is symmetrical: 828 reads the same in both directions. In numerology that symmetry is the whole message. A mirror appears when your outer life and inner life are reflecting each other, usually somewhere you have not looked yet.
The frame is the 8: power. The material world, money, cause and effect, the harvest. The executive and the steward of outcomes. Inside the frame sits the 2: balance. Partnership, cooperation, sensitivity, trust. The number of things that need two and of timing you cannot force. So the pairing says the power side of you is holding space for balance to come through, and the world outside is showing you the inside.
Mirror numbers are the checkpoint numbers. They show up when it is time to ask whether what you show and what you feel are the same shape. If they are, the mirror confirms the alignment. If they are not, the mirror is where the discrepancy gets noticed, kindly.
The working, shown
8 + 2 + 8 = 18 → 9
The total folds into 9: the energy of completion. Release, wisdom, compassion, the end of a circle. The number that has walked the full turn and lets go, is the note underneath the sighting.
Why you keep seeing it
Numbers repeat when a theme refuses to stay quiet. The pattern arrives around goodbyes that have not been said, and it stays until they are. The number opens with the 8, power, which sets the tone of the whole message: the material world, money, cause and effect, the harvest.
What to do when you see it
Your assignment when 828 shows up
Name the ending out loud, to yourself or to someone else, and feel the room it makes. One more prompt, from the 8 this time: whether your power is flowing in both directions, giving and receiving. Then watch what the pattern does. Answered attention tends to move on.
One honest look in the actual mirror of the situation, this week. A mirror number rewards directness. It quiets down when the alignment is restored.

What does the 2 inside 828 mean?
It is the content of the reflection. The 8 frames it, and the 2 names what is being reflected: balance.
Are mirror numbers the same as mirror hours?
Same family, different surface. Mirror hours on a clock are the same symmetrical pattern in time. The meaning carries over: outer life mirroring inner life.
Is 828 a sign of alignment or of distortion?
Either. A mirror confirms alignment when your inside and outside already match, and exposes distortion when they do not. Your first honest reaction to the number usually tells you which.
