You've seen 5487 twice today already: a bus number and an email subject line. What you are dealing with is freedom from the 5 and foundation from the 4, and they arrive together. Six is care, so notice whose problem you are carrying that is not yours to carry.
What 5487 means
The 6 carries responsibility, home and care, the numbers of the people you look after and the people who look after you. When a number reduces to 6, attention is being asked for, usually closer to home than you expect.
Inside 5487, the 5 carries the open door that appears once a routine has finished teaching you. The 4 adds the unglamorous work that decides whether something lasts. The 8 brings the honest use of strength and the results that follow it.
The working, shown
5 + 4 + 8 + 7 = 24, and 2 + 4 = 6.
Every number in this system is read the same honest way: add the digits, reduce, and check whether a master number (11, 22 or 33) is trying to hold its full shape along the way.
Why you keep seeing it
The season explains more of this than the number does. Someone in your life needs more presence than they are asking for out loud, and the number keeps catching you near it. Read it from the front and the 5 leads, so the rest borrows its tone: movement, once a routine has finished teaching you.
What to do when you see it
Your assignment when 5487 shows up
Rebalance the care by putting back something you have been spending on everyone else. And answer the question the 5 keeps asking. What are you gripping that you'd be relieved to let go of? Tell one person what you decided, so it has a witness.

Is 5487 a good sign?
It is a marker, and it carries no blessing and no threat. The number names a live theme and hands it to you. Whether it turns out well has everything to do with your answer and nothing to do with the digits.
Does seeing 5487 mean my wish will come true?
No, and reading it that way tends to make people passive. The honest use of a repeating number is noticing what you were thinking about when it appeared, then making an actual decision yourself.
Is 5487 connected to my Life Path number?
Only in the loosest sense. Angel number sightings speak to attention, timing and theme. Your core numbers are a different layer entirely, the architecture, and reading them together is where the picture gets useful.
