2961 turns up where you weren't looking for it: a queue ticket and a bank statement. The 2 brings balance and the 9 brings completion, and most of what this number asks of you sits where those two meet. The total lands on 9 as well, so finish the one thing that has been sitting at ninety percent.
What 2961 means
The 9 is completion: the closing of a chapter to make space for something that could not exist while the old one was still open. When a number reduces to 9, something in your life is finished, even if you've not formally closed it.
Inside 2961, the 2 carries patience with timing that can't be forced. The 9 adds the closing of a chapter so a cleaner one can open. The 6 brings home, and the people who depend on you.
The working, shown
2 + 9 + 6 + 1 = 18, and 1 + 8 = 9.
Every number in this system is read the same honest way: add the digits, reduce, and check whether a master number (11, 22 or 33) is trying to hold its full shape along the way.
Why you keep seeing it
There is usually a live question underneath a sighting like this. The theme is release: a circle has completed, and holding the shape of it costs you daily. The final digit is the 1, where the message lands: a beginning that has not been given a name yet.

Is 2961 a good sign?
Neither good nor bad. A sighting describes the terrain you are standing on. The same number can greet a beginning or stand near an ending, and the difference is always what you decide to do with it.
Does seeing 2961 mean my wish will come true?
A number is not a delivery system for wishes. What it can do is show you what you were hoping for at the moment you noticed it, which is worth more than the wish itself.
Is 2961 connected to my Life Path number?
A sighting is a moment and your chart is a standing structure. The number following you says something about your season, and your Life Path and the rest of your numbers, hand calculated from your birth name and birth date, describe what you are working with underneath every season.
