You've seen 1957 twice today already: a bus number and an email subject line. The 1 pushes initiation and the 9 pushes completion, and they land in the same days. Twenty two is building at scale, so check whether the plan you are carrying is bigger than the week you actually have.
What 1957 means
22 is a master number: the builder, carrying the practical discipline of 4 at a much larger scale. It's vision paired with the patience to lay every brick. When a number reduces to 22, you're being asked to think bigger and act steadier, at the same time.
Inside 1957, the 1 carries the spark of a beginning before it has a structure. The 9 adds the closing of a chapter so a cleaner one can open. The 5 brings the open door that appears once a routine has finished teaching you.
The working, shown
1 + 9 + 5 + 7 = 22. 22 is a master number, so it keeps its full strength here.
Every number in this system is read the same honest way: add the digits, reduce, and check whether a master number (11, 22 or 33) is trying to hold its full shape along the way.
Why you keep seeing it
The timing of the sightings is the real clue. Master energy like this shows up when a life sized vision is asking for an actual first brick. Read it from the front and the 1 leads, so the rest borrows its tone: a beginning that has not been given a name yet.
What to do when you see it
Your assignment when 1957 shows up
Put one real brick under the big vision, this week, at the scale you keep calling unrealistic. One more prompt, from the 1 this time. What beginning is available to you right now that you haven't admitted to yourself? Answer it once, then leave the pattern alone and watch what it does.

Is 1957 a good sign?
The honest answer is that the number is neutral. It points at what is already moving in your life. The pattern is information, and information used well tends to end up called good.
Does seeing 1957 mean my wish will come true?
No, and reading it that way tends to make people passive. The honest use of a repeating number is noticing what you were thinking about when it appeared, then making an actual decision yourself.
Is 1957 connected to my Life Path number?
No, not directly. A number you keep seeing is about the present moment and your attention, which is what is alive right now. Your Life Path, Expression and other core numbers are calculated from your birth name and birth date, and they describe the fixed architecture you are working with underneath the weather of any single day.
