You've seen 1287 twice today already: a bus number and an email subject line. What you are dealing with is initiation from the 1 and balance from the 2, and they arrive together. Nine is completion, so finish the one thing that has been sitting at ninety percent.
What 1287 means
The 9 is completion: the closing of a chapter to make space for something that could not exist while the old one was still open. When a number reduces to 9, something in your life is finished, even if you've not formally closed it.
Inside 1287, the 1 carries the spark of a beginning before it has a structure. The 2 adds patience with timing that can't be forced. The 8 brings the honest use of strength and the results that follow it.
The working, shown
1 + 2 + 8 + 7 = 18, and 1 + 8 = 9.
Every number in this system is read the same honest way: add the digits, reduce, and check whether a master number (11, 22 or 33) is trying to hold its full shape along the way.
Why you keep seeing it
This number tends to arrive at a particular kind of moment. An ending is asking to be named, and the sightings cluster around the thing you keep half closing. It closes on the 7, where the message lands: depth that arrives when the noise stops.
What to do when you see it
Your assignment when 1287 shows up
Let one finished thing actually finish: one box, one goodbye, one clearing. The 7 in the number asks you this. Which hours of your week actually belong to thinking? Write the answer down and give it one hour this week.

Is 1287 a good sign?
It is a message about attention, and it says nothing final about your future. A number can point at a beginning, a warning, or a closing chapter, and none of those are automatically good or bad. What matters is what you do with the pattern it names.
Does seeing 1287 mean my wish will come true?
No, and reading it that way tends to make people passive. The honest use of a repeating number is noticing what you were thinking about when it appeared, then making an actual decision yourself.
Is 1287 connected to my Life Path number?
A sighting is a moment and your chart is a standing structure. The number following you says something about your season, and your Life Path and the rest of your numbers, hand calculated from your birth name and birth date, describe what you are working with underneath every season.
