What a karmic debt actually is

Not a curse. A pattern. When a raw, unreduced sum in your chart lands on 13, 14, 16 or 19, the tradition reads it as a specific lesson that repeats in your life until it is learned: the workaholic 13/4 shortcuts that must become honest craft, the scattered 14/5 excess that must become chosen freedom, the 16/7 collapse of anything built on image, the 19/1 isolation that must learn to stand with people.

The debt is in the raw sum, not the final number. That is why a calculator that skips the working will never find it: 13 reduces to 4 and disappears, unless you keep the 13 visible and name it.

Karmic lessons: what your name does not contain

The second half of the scan looks at what is missing. If a value from 1 to 9 appears nowhere in your name, that number is a Karmic Lesson: a quality you were not handed at the door, and life will keep asking you to build it from scratch. A doubly missing number, absent from the name and the date, is worth special attention in a full reading.
